Funding Options
Paying for therapy can be hard to prioritise, even when we know it can help us.
Because of this, I get asked a lot if I'm registered with ACC and unfortunately, not yet (I'm working on it!)
Until then, here are a few other ways you may be able to access funding for art therapy.
Don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to know more.
If you've been the victim of crime (including DV, assault, etc.), Victim Support can cover up to 10 sessions for individuals and up to 30 for whānau.
For anyone under the age of 25, several fully-funded are available.
Message me directly or follow the link.
For anyone (any culture, any age) who has been touched by suicide. It doesn't matter how close the relationship was, or how long ago it was.
Work and Income NZ
If you have a WINZ case worker, let them know you're looking to start therapy but that it’s out of budget. If you choose this route, please let me know so I can write a letter of support and give you the required forms.
For children exposed to a crime, the NZ Police offer the Child Flexi Fund.
A social worker or other advocate can apply for therapy fees to be covered.

Some sessions being funded or subsidised through schools’ Pastoral Fund, Attendance Budget, or BoT discretionary funding.
To help with this process, I can write a letter of support for the school or liaise with their LSC/SENCO.
